In India, out of 28 total AICRP on Plantation Crops centres, All India Co-ordinated project on Plantation Crops, ASPEE College of Horticulture, NAU, Navsari received 'Best resources generating centre for the year 2024-25' during 34th annual group meeting on 7-9 May, 2025 at AC & RI, TNAU, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The appreciation certificate was received by Dr. Pankaj P. Bhalerao, Project In-charge of AICRP (PC) from Dr. S. K. Singh, DDG (Horti.), ICAR, New Delhi with other esteemed dignitaries Dr. V. B. Patel, ADG (Fruit & PC), ICAR, New Delhi; Dr. P. Rethinam; Former ADG and Former Director, APCC, Jakarta (Indonesia); Dr. K. B. Hebbar, Director, CPCRI, ICAR, Kasaragod (Kerala); Dr. B. A. Jerard, Project Co-ordinator, AICRP on PC, CPCRI, ICAR, Kasaragod (Kerala); Dr. R. K. Mathur, Director, IIOR, Hyderabad and Dr. K. Suresh. Director, IIOPR, Pedavegi (Andhra Pradesh). Jerard, Project Coordinator, AICRP (Palms) along with Dr. Subhramanium, Principal Scientist (Crop Production); Dr. Vinayaka Hegde, Principal Scientist (Crop Protection) and Dr. Mrs. Sumitha, Scientist, CPCRI, ICAR, Kasaragod, Kerala visited to AICRP (Palms), Regional Horticultural Research Station, ACH, NAU, Navsari centre on 31.05.2024 and 01.06.2024. During the visit, Dr. Alka Singh, I/c Principal and Dean, ACH, NAU, Navsari welcomes the dignities and Dr. P. P. Bhalerao, Project In-charge, AICRP (Palms) brief about different activities conducted under project. Dr. V. K. Parmar, Professor and Head, Dept. of PSMA, ACH, NAU, Navsari and Dr. B. M. Tandel, Research Scientist, RHRS, ACH, NAU, Navsari also present during the visit and he brief about the several technical programmes which are conducted at RHRS farm.
