Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel along with Dr. T. R. Ahlawat- DR, Dr. R. M. Naik-Principal & Dean, and Dr. V. R. Naik-ADR visited the Research farm of the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, NMCA Navsari on February 06, 2023. Dr. R. K. Patel, HoD, gave brief information on various state and national-level experiments and promising upcoming pipeline products of various crops and presented all pipeline products along with their key characteristics and live samples to the dignitaries.
Hon’ble VC keenly visited research activities of coriander, fenugreek, fennel, turmeric, black turmeric, mango ginger, ginger and crotalaria crops at the research farm including recently released sunnhemp variety NSUN-59 (Vijay) breeder seed production plot and appreciated the research work done by the faculties of the Department.
