Two new NFSM SEEDS STORAGE GODOWN under Project ‘Creation of seed hubs for increasing production of millet crops in India’, NFSM, New Delhi at Rajendrapur and Rambhas Farm of Hill Millet Research Station (HMRS), Waghai was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel in the solemn presence of Dr. T. R. Ahlawat, Director of Research; Er. P. R. Pandey, Executive Engineer; Dr. A. P. Patel, Principal, COA, Waghai; Dr. Jignesh Dobariya, Head, KVK Waghai and Dr. H. E. Patil, Associate Research Scientist and all the staff members of HMRS, NAU, Waghai.
On this occasion, Hon’ble VC highlighted the pivotal role of Seed Production in empowering farmers, especially in minor millet crops. He emphasized the challenges farmers face on issues related to the supply of quality seeds. With this construction of seeds storage godown, the commitment to providing essential services like quality seeds to the farming community has been strengthened.
