Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel, accompanied by Dr. V. R. Naik, ADR, visited the Wheat Research Station, Bardoli on May 28, 2024. Dr. R. D. Vekariya, Assistant Research Scientist, welcomed the dignitaries and provided a brief overview of the center's current activities, including ongoing research experiments for the rabi, kharif, and summer seasons, as well as the seed production program.
During the visit, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor toured the research farm and offered valuable suggestions for enhancing the farm infrastructure, land development, and research facilities. He also suggested the full implementation of the newly approved plan scheme for cucurbitaceous vegetables, aimed at benefiting the farmers of South Gujarat. He commended the team for their hard work and urged them to continue strengthening their research activities and pursuing innovative research.
