Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, NAU, Navsari Dr. R. M. Naik visited the Regional Cotton Research Station, Bharuch on 29^th September, 2026 along with Director of Research & Dean PG Studies, Dr. Timur Ahllawat; Associate Director of Research, Dr. Vikas Naik and Dr. Lalit Mahatma; Director of Students’ Welfare, Prof. Jaimin Naik; and Dr. D.D. Patel, Principal, COA, NAU, Bharuch.

Dr. K.V. Vadodariya, Research Scientist & Head, RCRS, Bharuch welcomed Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and all the dignitaries with flower bouquet. He explained about the historical Regional Cotton Research Station which was established in 1913. During the farm visit dignitaries was illustrated about the various research activities of the station viz., different National, State and Station trials of cotton and Seed production programme of different release varieties of cotton and Pigeon pea carried out under rainfed condition at Bharuch. He also enlightened about the High-Density Planting System (HDPS), various lines of the germplasms collection of different species of cotton and show the new crosses carried out for improvement of cotton research programme. Dr. Vadodariya gave ppt presentation covering farm history, released varieties, ongoing research activities, achievements, Awards achieved, publications and research facilities available at the station.  Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor was highly impressed by the well-maintained field experiments, seed production programme as well as HDPS (High Density Planting System) technique of cotton growing. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor gave his valuable guidance for the ongoing research activities and development of farm and congratulated Head of Unit and whole team of RCRS, Bharuch for their excellent work.
