Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel chaired the technical session on 'Use of rootstocks in horticulture' at the Indian Horticulture Congress -2023, organised by the Indian Academy of Horticultural Sciences in collaboration with Assam Agricultural University at Guwahati, Assam on November 7, 2023.
In the same session, Hon'ble VC presented the keynote address on 'The transformative role of rootstocks in modern horticulture' wherein he gave the overall blueprint of rootstocks role in horticulture as well as highlighted the important work done related to rootstocks in fruits, vegetables and flower crops at NAU, Navsari.
He further summed up the lead talks given by different unit heads of ICAR.
