Dr. R. M. Naik, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari visited the experiential learning unit “Post harvest handling and value addition” at the Department of Post-Harvest Technology, ASPEE College of Horticulture (ACH) on 11 September 2026. Students of B.Sc.Hons (Horticulture) were preparing Koronda squash and nectar during the visit.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor interacted with the ELP students working in the PHT unit and appreciated their efforts and innovative work in developing value-added processed products of horticultural produce. He emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent product quality, undertaking systematic cost calculations and assessing actual profitability to ensure that student-developed products are not only technically sound but also economically viable and market-ready.

During the visit, Dr. Alka Singh, Dean, ACH, Dr. Hemant Sharma, DEE, Dr. H. M. Virdia, Registrar, Dr. Lalit Mahatma, ADR, Dr. Ashok Senapati, Professor and Head, PHT and other faculty members of PHT were also present. 

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor motivated the students to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills and transform innovative ideas into sustainable ventures.
