This initiative aligns with the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Mission, which aims to empower rural youth through employment-oriented vocational training.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel chaired the event, visited the exhibition and encouraged the women to increase the circulation of traditional value-added products and raise awareness about their uses.
Dr. Kinjal Shah, Senior Scientist and Head, welcomed everyone and explained the program's purpose and benefits. Dr. Hemant Sharma, Director of Extension Education congratulated and inspired the women on their efforts.
The event featured technical guidance by Dr. Pararg Pandit, Assistant Professor, Centre of Excellence on PHT; Dr. Sheetal Jadhav, Assistant Professor, NMCA and Dr. R. A. Gurjar, Scientist Horticulture, KVK on making Aam Papad and Mango Seed Kernel Mouth Freshner.
Over 70 farm women from different villages working in ARYA project participated, displaying around 20-22 mango value-added products, including aampapad, aam candy, chundo, juice, frooti, sweet and sour pickles, chutney and gotli mukhwas.
