College of Forestry, Navsari was evaluated based on the self-appraisal report by ICFRE lead committee, headed by Dr. Yogesh Kumar Dak (Ex- PCCF, Social Forestry Division, Rajasthan) and Member secretary of accreditation team Dr. S. R. Baloch (Scientist – D, AFRI, Jodhpur – Rajasthan) during 18th to 20th February 2023. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel felicitated the team members Dr. Y. K. Dak and Dr. S. R. Baloch with memento after a very constructive discussion for the improvement of Education, Research and Extension related work carried out at CoF, Navsari.

The accreditation team was welcomed by Dean, CoF, and Faculty Members with an introduction and discussion on 18th of February. The team visited Instructional Farm (Arboretum), Terminalia arjuna plantation, Gmelina arborea plantation, Industrial Agroforestry, trials on Eucalyptus and Casuarina and Ailanthus excelsa based Agroforestry model in degraded lands. They also visited Aqua – Agroforestry model at Dandi, and had a very constructive exchange of ideas. The team also visited Biodiversity Conservation Centre, Bambusetum and trials on Acacia mangium, Sterculia urens, Oroxylum indicum and Callophyllum inophyllum and was highly pleased and appreciated efforts of the Forestry faculties for conducting various experiments. The team visited UG hostel and students mess and interacted with the students. 

On the third day the team visited University Library and saw the infrastructure facilities like playground, Gymnasium, etc they were satisfied with the number of books and periodicals available in the Central Library, NAU. 

The accreditation report of College of Forestry was presented by Dr. P. K. Shrivastava, Dean, in the Conference Hall of CoF. Besides this, the team visited various laboratories and UG & PG class rooms and gave very positive comments on the overall development of the college, in the recent past. Interaction with UG students was highly fruitful as Ex- PCCF; Dr. Y. K. Dak gave many valuable tips to students for preparation of civil services examinations. They also leafed through various academic, research and extension-related documents and reports.
