Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel inaugurated newly constructed Office-cum-Laboratory building of ARS, NAU, Tanchha on February 5, 2025. The inaugural ceremony was held in the gracious presence of Dr. Timur Ahlawat, DR; Dr. Vikas Naik, ADR; Dr. Vipul Shinde, Executive Engineer; Dr. D. D. Patel, Principal, CoA Bharuch; Dr. B. K. Davda; Dr. D. A. Chauhan; Dr. K. V. Vadodariya, Dr. Ved Prakash Rai, Head, ARS Tanchha; Head of various NAU centers; staffs of the Tanchha as well as farmers of nearby area.

One Day Khedut Shibir were also organized on this occasion. In his presidential address, Hon’ble VC emphasized farmers to introduce new commercial crops like rubber plant and avocado. Instead of Casuarina and Eucalyptus, he suggested to grow productive plants like coconut and dragon fruit on the border of the field. Technical guidance on various crops like sorghum, cotton and pulses were delivered by Dr. B. K. Davda, Dr. K. V. Vadodariya and Dr. D. A. Chauhan respectively. The program ended with the vote of thanks given by Mr. Ankit R. Gadhiya. Farmers also visited the various demonstrations on improved varieties of sorghum, castor, mungbean, and improved package of practices for various crops carried out at the center.
