Vashi, Member of Board of Management; Dr. T. R. Ahlawat, Director of Research & Dean P. G. Studies; Dr. V. R. Naik, Associate Director of Research; Dr. J. M. Patel, Research scientist, Soil and Water Management Research UnitDr. R. M. Naik, Principal and Dean, N. M. College of Agriculture, and Prof. Jaimin Naik, Director of Students’ Welfare also remain present.
This advanced facility will accelerate the rice breeding programme by conducting multiple generations in one year and enhance genetic gain. A faster varietal development can be achieved by speed breeding using Rapid Generation Advance (RGA) technology and the variety will reach the farmer’s field in a shorter span.
Hon’ble VC congratulated Dr. P. B. Patel, Associate Research Scientist and the team of MRRC, Navsari for leading an initiative that will revolutionize agriculture and contribute to global sustainability.
