A Capacity building Programme for UG/PG and Polytechnic students has been organized by Department of Soil Science and Agricultural chemistry, N. M. College of Agriculture, Navsari in collaboration with ISSS, Navsari chapter and SRC, NMCA, NAU, Navsari a part of “World Soil Day Celebration” on December 5, 2024. This event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel and is registered in Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) under their “World Wide Events”.

The capacity building events such as Quiz, Poster Making, Scitoon, Still Model and Round robin (Brain storming game) were organized. Hon’ble VC interacted with student participants and visited all the capacity building events. Dr. T. R. Ahlawat, Director of Research and Dean PG Studies; Dr. H. M. Virdia, Registrar; Prof. J. R. Naik, Director of Student Walfare; Dr. R. M. Naik, Principal and Dean, NMCA and ACH; Dr. K. G. Patel, Professor and Head, Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry; Dr. Neethu T. M., Organizing Secretary; Principals of various colleges and Polytechnics, faculty members of various colleges and student participants were present. A total of 217 students were participated in various event, out of which 122 students were from various degree colleges and 95 were from polytechnics under NAU. The best three positions of each competitive events as well as all participants were awarded with certificate during the valedictory function.
