The newly established Environment Science Laboratory - The state-of-the-art facility in the department of Forest Resources Management (FRM), College of Forestry, Navsari was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel and Dr. Harshaben Z. Patel. The ceremony witnessed the presence of university officers Dr. Timur Ahlawat - Director of Research & Dean PG Studies; Prof. Jaimin Naik, Director of Students Welfare; Dr. H. M. Virdia, Registrar; Dr. R. M. Naik - Dean N. M. College of Agriculture and ASPEE College of Horticulture; Dr. M. B. Tandel- Dean College of Forestry and other distinguished guests.

Hon'ble VC praised the efforts of the Forestry College’s administration, faculty, and staff in setting up the laboratory, which will serve as a hub for innovative research and development in forest resource management.

In this inaugural Dr. S. V. Viyol, Assistant Research Scientist (Env. Sci.) emphasized the importance of environmental education and research in the current scenario of global climate change and ecological degradation. Dr. D. P. Patel, HoD of FRM department highlighted the critical role that the Environment Science Laboratory would play in equipping students with practical skills and knowledge to address contemporary environmental challenges.
