Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Navsari Agricultural University Navsari, Dr. R. M. Naik  along with Prof. Jaimin R. Naik, Director of Student Welfare; Dr. Timur R. Ahlawat, Director of Research & Dean, PGS; Dr. Hemant Sharma, Director of Extension Education; and Dr. Lalit Mahatma, Associate Director of Research and Nodal Officer - Natural Farming made a sudden and unannounced visit to the hostel mess of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (CAET), Dediapada.

Dr. S. N. Singh, Principal & Dean of the College and Dr. Alok Singh, Principal of the Polytechnic in Agricultural Engineering also accompanied.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor inspected various facilities of the hostel mess, including the food store, vegetable storage section, washing facilities, biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste disposal systems, drainage arrangements and the live kitchen. The cleanliness of the food preparation and serving areas, dining tables, overall ambience, water coolers and other facilities were also reviewed and found to be well managed.

The food served in the mess was personally tasted by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. R. M. Naik and DSW Prof. Jaimin R. Naik. They also interacted with the students and sought their feedback regarding the quality of food and hostel amenities. The students expressed satisfaction with the food being served and the facilities provided in the hostel.

Considering the location of the College and the increasing strength of students Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor instructed Principal & Dean to provide additional sports facilities for the students to promote their overall physical and extracurricular development.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor appreciated the Principal & Dean, rectors and staff members involved in the management and smooth functioning of the hostel mess for their efforts in maintaining the facilities and ensuring the well-being of the students.
