Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel flagged in the NCC Mega Cyclothon in Navsari on January 01, 2023. The cyclathon is a rally passing through the States of Kerala Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Daman &Diu, Gujarat, Rajasthan & Haryana and themed "Mahila Shakti ka Abhedya Safar" comprising girl cadets of NCC embarking on a journey from Kanyakumari to New Delhi. The rally would cover 3232 km in 32 cycling days, at an average of 97 km per day.

The ceremony at Navsari was attended by Brig. N. S. Chaarag, SM, Col. V. M. Singh, Col. Navdip Sidhu, Comdr. Amit Nayan, University Officers, NCC cadets and university staff.

The cyclathon was flagged off by DG NCC from Kanyakumari on December 08, 2023, and will be flagged in by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 28 Jan 2024.
