On the sacred occasion of 'Aatham' during the auspicious Navratri festival, on October 11, 2024, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel unveiled the statue of Shri Navinchandra Mafatlal at the N. M. College of Agriculture. The statue commemorates Shri Navinchandra Mafatlal, whose generous donation facilitated the construction of the college.

The unveiling ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr. Harshaben Z. Patel, Dr. Timur Ahlawat, Director of Research & Dean PGS; Dr. H. M. Virdia, Registrar; Prof. J. R. Naik, Director of Students’ Welfare; Dr. R. M. Naik, Principal and Dean of NMCA and ACH; and Dr. O. P. Sharma, Principal of AABMI, NAU, Navsari. Heads of various departments and staff members of NMCA were also present on the occasion.

During the event, the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor paid tribute to Shri Navinchandra Mafatlal, remembering his generosity, and expressed his gratitude. He also commended Dr. R. M. Naik, Principal and Dean of NMCA, for his efforts in making this long-awaited occasion a reality.
