Method for Preparation and Storage of Green Tender Sorghum (Paunk)
Under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel, a patent was granted to NAU Navsari and the scientists of the Center of Excellence on Post Harvest Technology on August 30, 2024, for their invention titled "Method for Preparation and Storage of Green Tender Sorghum (Paunk)."
The patent certificate was presented to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor in the presence of Dr. T. R. Ahlawat, Director of Research; Dr. R. M. Naik, Dean, Horticulture; and Prof. Jaimin Naik, Director of Student Welfare.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor commended the efforts of Dr. Parag S. Pandit, Dr. Harish G. Suthar, and Dr. Fakir Mohan Sahu for their dedication in reaching this milestone, which aims to enhance the shelf life of Green Tender Sorghum, locally known as Paunk.
