The 20th Annual Convocation of Navsari Agricultural University was held today (January 7, 2025), in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat and Chancellor of the University, Shri Acharya Devvrat ji, who presided over the function as President.

The convocation ceremony was graced by Shri. Raghavjibhai Patel, Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Cow-Breeding, Govt. of Gujarat as Guest of Honour in virtual mode; Dr. Abhay Kumar Vyas, Vice-Chancellor, Agricultural University, Kota, as Chief Guest along with Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellors of SAUs of Gujarat, members of the Board of Management, Academic council, distinguished guests, district authorities, University Officers, Principals & Deans, faculties, students and parents.

During this Convocation, 641 students (415 graduates, 172 post graduates and 54 Ph.D. students) of Navsari Agricultural University were conferred with various degrees.

Dr. Jaimin Pandya, Assistant Professor, Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Bharuch (Gujarat) was conferred with ‘Best Teacher Award’; Dr. S. C. Mali, Associate Research Scientist, Main Sugarcane Research Station, Navsari Agricultural University Navsari (Gujarat) was conferred with ‘Best Researcher Award’; Dr. Jigneshkumar. B. Dobariya, Scientist, KVK, Navsari Agricultural University, Waghai was conferred with ‘Best Extension Scientist Award’; Shri. Jigarbhai Pravinbhai Desai of Ajaji Farm, Shiker Taluka: - Valod District: - Tapi was conferred with ‘Best Farmer’ and Smt. Sharmilaben Harisingbhai chaudhri of Talav (khurd), Taluka:- Mandvi District: - Surat was conferred with ‘Best Farm Woman’ award.

In this convocation ceremony, a total of 53 medals including 21 for PG students and 32 for UG students were awarded.
