Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel inaugurated the seminar on “Cashew Production Technology” sponsored by Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa Development, Kochi and organized by AICRP, Cashew, Agriculture Experimental Station, Paria on March 16, 2023 at Kaparada, Valsad. The inaugural function of this program was held in the gracious presence of  Dr. T. R. Ahlawat, DR & Dean PGS; Dr. N. M. Chauhan, DEE; Dr. V. R. Naik, ADR and Dr. D. K. Sharma, Head, AES, Paria. 

Hon’ble VC emphasized on the nutritional value of cashew and thereby focused on consumption of cashew as a daily nutritional diet. He also advised the farmers to use the technologies developed by AICRP-Cashew, AES, Paria and increase their production.

The technologies developed by NAU, Navsari viz., Nauroji Stonehouse Fruit fly trap and Novel organic liquid nutrient with cashew calendar were provided to each participant in the presence of all the dignitaries. Total 161 farmers and farm women have actively participated.
