Dr. J. J. Pastagia- Principal, briefly explained different research activities undergoing in both the units, especially the startup of commercial oyster mushroom spawn production done by Dr. Pushpendra Singh and Dr. Amol Deshmukh (Plant Pathology) and Isolation & evaluation of entomopathogenic fungi from lepidopteran pest by Dr. R. P. Bambharolia (Microbiology) and Dr. D. M. Damasia (Entomology).

Hon’ble VC congratulated all the staff of center for noteworthy research and gave valuable suggestions for futuristic planning and development. He also suggested to popularize not only the oyster mushroom but also the button, milky, shitake ang king oyster among the farming community of Gujarat state.
