NAU, Navsari has been recognized as a Nodal Centre for the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP 2.0) by Gujarat Knowledge Society, Directorate of Technical Education, Gandhinagar. A Felicitation and Grant allotment program for the selected student beneficiaries under SSIP 2.0 was organized under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel on April 03, 2024
During the program, nine students along with their respective mentors from constituent colleges of NAU were felicitated for their innovative business idea proposals which were scrutinized by University Level Scrutiny Committee. The selected beneficiaries received the ‘Student Innovation Fund’ under SSIP 2.0 to support the establishment of their concept of innovative business ideas.
Hon’ble VC congratulated the students and their mentors for this achievement and also commended the efforts of the University Startup Cell in this regard. Dr. Ruchira Shukla, Principal, AABMI and SSIP Coordinator highlighted that, under the SSIP 2.0, six sensitization and outreach programs on “Startups and Agripreneurship” were organized at constituent colleges of NAU sensitizing 576 students during the year 2023-24. Dr. Swati Sharma, SSIP Co-coordinator, concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
