To enhance the ease of use and maintenance of our students semester fees, a web-based module was developed under the URP initiative at NAU. The module went through several rounds of testing, including Phase 2 at the Forestry College. During this phase, over two days of fee collection, 122 out of 126 students successfully completed their online fee payments.
This project was undertaken with the guidance of the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel. After testing, students, faculty members, and the NAU IT team shared the insights and feedback with the Hon'ble VC. Impressed by the results, Hon'ble VC directed the NAU IT team to expand the module's implementation to the entire university.
The module now ensures a seamless experience by instantly sending fee receipts via WhatsApp, SMS, and email. Looking ahead, AI integration will further enhance the system through:
1) Predictive Financial Aid – AI will analyze academic and financial data to recommend scholarships and personalized fee assistance automatically.
2) Voice & Multilingual Chatbots – Students will be able to pay fees using voice commands or receive assistance in regional languages.
3) AI-Driven Budget Forecasting – The system will predict university revenue, optimize budget allocation, and detect payment delays.
4) Blockchain-Based Transactions – Fee payments will be secured and tamper-proof through smart contracts, ensuring transparent transactions.
5) Fraud & Anomaly Detection – AI will flag suspicious transactions to prevent unauthorized payments, enhancing security.
