Dr. Z. P. Patel, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of NAU, Navsari marked a significant milestone with the virtually inaugurating its state-of-the-art Bio-Agent Production Laboratory on October 9, 2025. The cutting-edge Laboratory funded by Gujarat Horticultural Mission, is designed to promote sustainable biological solutions in agriculture and impart quality hands on training to the students under Experiential Learning Programme.

The laboratory forms a part of the dream project and the series of infrastructure development initiatives envisioned by Dr. Z. P. Patel, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor to enhance the university’s performance in agricultural education, research, and extension activities.

The event was graced by eminent dignitaries Dr. J. G. Patel; Dr. V. A. Solanki, Member, Academic Council and Dr. D. D. Patel, Principal, College of Agriculture, NAU, Bharuch. Faculty members, staff, and students actively participated in the ceremony, celebrating a new era of innovation and excellence at the college.

Other university officers Dr. T. R. Ahlawat, Director of Research and Dean, P.G. Studies; Dr. H. R. Sharma, Director of Extension Education; Prof. Jaimin Naik, Director of Student Welfare; Dr. H. M. Virdia, Registrar; Dr. Vipul Shinde, Executive Engineer; Dr. P. B. Patel, Principal & Dean, NMCA; Dr. Alka Singh, Principal & Dean, ACoH; Dr. Minal Tandel, Principal & Dean, CoF; Dr. J.J. Pastagia, Dean AABMI; Dr. V. R. Naik and Dr. Lalit Mahatma, Associate Director of Research; Professors, and other staff members were also virtually present.

This development is expected to further strengthen the university’s commitment to agricultural innovation and sustainability, particularly in advancing organic and natural farming practices.
