The 38th Annual Convocation of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV) Akola took place under the esteemed presidency of Shri Ramesh Bais, the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of the university, on February 14, 2024. Minister of Agriculture and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Shri Dhananjay Munde, addressed the Convocation.
During the event, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel, delivered the convocation speech as the Chief Guest. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Sharad Gadakh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of PDKV, along with former Vice-chancellors of PDKV and Vice-chancellors of agricultural universities in Maharashtra and MAFSU.
During his address, Dr. Z. P. Patel appreciated the commendable efforts of PDKV Akola, emphasizing the pivotal role of hard work in achieving success. He underscored the significance of applying acquired knowledge to real-life situations, highlighting it as a true indicator of mastery. Dr. Patel urged the students to prepare themselves for the journey ahead and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities that come their way. Concluding his speech, he extended his best wishes for a bright and prosperous future to all students.
A total of 4040 degrees were awarded in the convocation ceremony this year. This includes 3635 graduate degrees, 369 post-graduate degrees and 36 Ph.D degrees.
