The 48th Vice-Chancellors’ Convention, themed “Agritourism in India: Bridging Education and Rural Development,” took place from February 13–14, 2025, at Kumarganj, Ayodhya. The event was inaugurated by Her Excellency Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Shri Surya Pratap Shahi ji, Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture Education and Research, Government of U.P.; Dr. R.C. Agrawal, DDG (Edu.), ICAR, New Delhi; Dr. Bijendra Singh, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of ANDUAT, Ayodhya; and Hon'ble Vice-Chancellors of the SAUs of India.
Dr. Z. P. Patel, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of NAU Navsari participated and chaired the valedictory session of this very important and prestigious convention where he emphasized the importance of promoting agritourism in India.
The event was jointly organized by Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT) and the Indian Agricultural Universities Association (IAUA).
