8th Annual Meeting of University Placement & Counselling Cell of NAU, Navsari was held under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel on December 12, 2023; wherein Placement Officers of 8 Degree Colleges and 6 Polytechnics remained present along with Dr. R. M. Naik, DSW and Dr. Mehul G. Thakkar, University Placement & Counselling Head.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Thakkar informed the house that this is successively the 3rd Annual Meeting of this cell to be chaired by Hon’ble VC and that shows his care, concern and commitment for the students’ fraternity. DSW Dr. Naik acquainted all with the phenomenal progress of the cell in last 11 years and urged all the Placement Officers to schedule the Full Day Pre-Placement Preparatory Training on “Campus to Corporate – C2C” for the passing out batches of 2024 at the earliest. He also suggested to all colleges to expedite the publication of Placement Brochure-2024 and warned against violating the uniformity in brochure.

Hon’ble VC emphasized on taking due care to foster professional grooming of our students in competitive era. He also suggested to keep due record of and give wide publicity to well-placed students. He appreciated the noble work of the cell and urged all to get united as a team and work for the maximum welfare of the students. He suggested that the placement team members of all the institutes must make sincere efforts to positively motivate the students to register and appear for the available campus placement opportunities.

As per the agenda items, various issues were deliberated and discussed. The meeting ended with sense of gratitude expressed by Dr. Mehul G. Thakkar.
