The 7th Annual Meeting of University Placement & Counselling Cell of NAU, Navsari was organized by Directorate of Students' Welfare under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel; wherein Dr. T. R. Ahlawat-DR, Dr. R. M. Naik-DSW, Dr. Mehul Thakkar-University Placement & Counselling Head and Placement Officers of Degree Colleges and Polytechnics remained present.
After opening remarks and initial briefing by Dr. Thakkar, the DSW acquainted all with the phenomenal progress of the cell in last 10 years in general, and particularly in 2022 by highlighting Top 12 Major Mile Stones of Placement Year-2022.
Hon’ble VC emphasized on taking due care to foster professional grooming of our students in competitive era. He also suggested to keep due record of and give wide publicity to well placed students as well as of those notorious students who violate the placement policy norms. On being informed about the negligence of some students and deviant behaviour adversely affecting placements, Hon'ble VC asked all colleges to take strict actions against the student violating placement policy norms. He emphasized on the fact that corporate relations get established after a long tenure, so Placement Officer and his/her team should not be changed without due consultation with University Placement & Counselling Cell and DSW office.
DR & Dean-PGS Dr. Ahlawat urged all the Placement Officers to schedule the Full Day Powerful Pre-Placement Preparatory Training on “Campus to Corporate – C2C” for the passing out batches of 2023 at the earliest, as Dr. Mehul Thakkar informed the house that only 3 colleges have organized it so far in this year. He also suggested to all colleges to expedite the publication of Placement Brochure-2023 and warned against violating the uniformity of initial 6-8 standardized pages as per the discussion last year.
The meeting ended with sense of gratitude expressed by Dr. Mehul G. Thakkar.
