Department of Information Technology, NAU, Navsari had prepared and published the NAU E-waste Policy 2024 and NAU IT Policy 2024 under the guidance of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel.

Comptroller and Controlling Officer (IT) Shri Chirag Naik presented the first printed Copy of the NAU E-waste Policy 2024 and NAU IT Policy 2024 to Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel on November 28, 2024, in the presence of Dr. T.R. Ahlawat, Director of Research and Dean of PG Studies; Prof. J. R. Naik, Director of Student Welfare.

Members of the IT Department, Dr. Bhavesh Chaudhari, Assistant professor and IT team leader; Mrs. Nishita Patel, computer programmer; Mr. Chetan Lad, computer programmer; Mr. Manan Bhatt, computer programmer; Mr. Mayur Bharthera, computer programmer and Mr. Sunil Patel, computer programmer also remain present on this occasion.

The NAU E-waste Policy 2024 has been drafted, Prepared and complied by Dr. Timur Ahlawat, Director of Research and Dean PG Studies; Dr. Hitesh Viradia, Registrar; Mr. Chirag Naik, Comptroller and Controlling Officer (IT); Dr. Vipul Shinde, Executive Engineer; Dr. Rajendra Naik, Dean Faculty of Agriculture and Dean Faculty of Horticulture; Dr. Mahesh Desai, Asst. Registrar (Admin); Dr. Bhavesh Chaudhari, Assistant Professor and supported by IT cell Team Members.

Both the NAU E-waste Policy 2024 and the NAU IT Policy 2024 have been approved by the Board of Management, NAU and will remain valid for the next five years.

The NAU E-Waste Policy 2024 ensures environmentally responsible disposal and recycling of electronic waste, reducing pollution and conserving valuable resources while adhering to government regulations and minimizing health risks from toxic substances. Meanwhile, the NAU IT Policy 2024 enhances data security, standardizes IT operations, and promotes resource efficiency, innovation, and cost-effective practices. Additionally, it emphasizes digital literacy and aligns with sustainability efforts through responsible IT hardware lifecycle management.
