One day seminar on ‘શેરડી અને ડાંગર પાક પરિસંવાદ’ was jointly organized by The Gujarat Association for Agricultural Sciences, Navsari Chapter and AICRP (TSP) on Sugarcane, NAU, Navsari on January 06, 2023.

The inaugural function of this seminar was held in the gracious presence of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel as President of the function; Dr. N. M. Chauhan, DEE as chief guest;  Dr. V. R. Naik, ADR as special Guest; Dr. R. M. Naik, President, GAAS (Navsari Chapter); Dr. K. G. Patel, Secretary, GAAS (Navsari Chapter); Dr. P. B. Patel, Treasurer, GAAS (Navsari Chapter) and Dr. S. C. Mali, PI, AICRP (Sugarcane). 

In his presidential remarks, Hon’ble VC discussed importance of rice and sugarcane by quoting it as “lifeline” for the farmers of South Gujarat and he also emphasized on following University recommendations for the betterment of socio-economic status. On this occasion publications of Rice and Sugarcane were released by dignitaries. Hon’ble VC congratulated organizers for organizing this seminar on important crops of south Gujarat. Total of around 150 farmers and scientists were participated in the seminar.
