The 18th Annual Convocation of Navsari Agricultural University was held today. Hon’ble Governorshri of Gujarat, Chancellor of the University and President of the function Shri Acharya Devvrat ji conferred degrees to the University graduates. 

The convocation ceremony was graced by Shri. Raghavjibhai Patel, Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Cow-Breeding, Govt. of Gujarat as Guest of Honour in virtual mode; Dr. R. C. Agrawal, Hon’ble Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education), ICAR, New Delhi as Chief Guest along with Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellors of SAUs of Gujarat, members of the Board of Management, Academic council, distinguished guests, district authorities, University Officers, Principals & Deans, faculties, students and parents.

In this convocation ceremony, total 723 students were conferred with various degrees including Bachelors’ Degree to 442 students, Masters’ Degree to 217 and Doctorate Degree to 64 students. 

NAU, Navsari awarded the first Honorary Doctorate in Agricultural Sciences (Honoris Causa) degree to Shri. Sharadbhai L. Patel, Managing Director, ASPEE Group of Companies.

Dr. K. B. Rakholiya, Professor & Head, Department of Plant Pathology, NMCA  was awarded with "Best Teacher Award" and Dr. H. E. Patil, Associate Research Scientist, Hill Millet Research Station, Waghai was awarded with “Best Researcher Award” in 18th Annual Convocation.
