The “Gujarat State Yogasana Championship” & National Seminar on “Role of Yoga in Psychological and Physical Health of Youth” organized by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare, NAU in association with the Gujarat State Yoga Association (GSYA) and Yogasana and Sports Association of Navsari (YSAN) was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Z. P. Patel on September 03, 2023.

The Championship was held in the gracious presence of Dr. Vinay Kumar Bharati, Senior Yoga Therapist, MDNIY, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, New Delhi as chief guest; Dr. R. M. Naik, DSW, NAU; Shri Paresh Bhatt, Secretary, GSYA; Shri Chandrakant Bhatheja & Shri Dinesh Mangnani, Trustee, YSAN; Smt. Gayatri Talati, Secretary, YSAN; and Dr. Diwakar Singh, Organizing Secretary and Nodal Officer-Yoga, NAU, Navsari.

In the state-level championship, 300 players from different districts of Gujarat participated. The national seminar was attended by 200 participants in which more than 40 papers were presented. The championship and seminar were successfully organized by Nodal Officer Yoga Dr. Diwakar Singh under the guidance of DSW, NAU, Navsari.
